Our latest version of the Scratch2Win promotion is based on contestants scratching off squares on a printed card (offline version) which is inserted in the newspaper one day a week (day chosen by client). Alternatively, contestants may play interactively via an online version provided daily at the newspaper website. A key element of the promotion (for both the offline and online versions) is the daily promotional ads which include a unique set of daily call numbers. These numbers inform the contestant which squares need to be scratched off their game card each day. The daily promotional ads are published in the newspaper every day during the promotional period to drive participation in the promotion.
The ads also explain How to Play and include a brief set of rules. Readers are directed to the newspaper website where they can find more detailed contest information. It is important to note (with both the offline and online versions), that all contestants must read the newspaper in order to find the unique set of daily call numbers required to play the contest and win.
