Web Developer/Designer - Calgary, AB

SCAinteractive is seeking a talented and creative Web Developer/Designer to immediately join our development team, working primarily in the areas of consumer promotions and sports contests.

We require someone who is fanatical about Web 2.0 development (a passion for sports wouldn't hurt either). Do you support OSS and GPL? Do you dream about the next great app? Do you follow emerging design/development trends? Follow best-practices and pay meticulous attention to detail? You don't have to be an art director, but you do need an eye for clean design and be able to create and massage graphical elements.

You must demonstrate very strong skills developing XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You must be comfortable working in a Linux/SSH environment all day. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who combines both UI development skills with client server communications. So if you enjoy working in a creative environment with designers and developers while creating pixel perfect web sites then this is the job for you!

Required Skills:
  • Demonstrated development experience with hand-coding advanced XHTML,CSS, DHTML, and JavaScript
  • Proficiency with cross-browser/cross-platform issues, DOM and web standards
  • Diverse communication skills with the ability to articulate concepts
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Understanding of client server communication
  • Well versed in code optimization and software design principles
  • Passion and demonstrated experience in software development
  • Linux/SSH experience
Pluses :
  • XMLPRC, Ajax, SOAP, XML, JSON
  • Perl/Php developement experience
  • Flash/ActionScript
